FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT THESE BIKES: after this test ride we have a much clearer opinion about them, we also changed completely our point of view.

Triumph Trophy 1200 2013 Test Ride Review – Triumph Sprint GT 1050 – Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 (shaft drive) and 800 (chain drive).
The biggest surprise came from riding the new Trophy, which at first looks massive and therefore we were thinking it was going to be heavy to handle. After only five minutes on it, all the worries disappeared: the bike is so light and easy to handle, that enables the rider to really enjoy the road and the scenery, listen to the radio and to the roary sound of the engine. It pulls like a train, massive torque, great stability and amazing brakes that makes you really feel safe and in full control. If you are looking for a bike for touring on the road, this new Trophy is fantastic. If you are looking for an adventure bike, either because you prefer the look of it, or in case you want to be also able to ride on unsurfaced trails occasionally, then the Explorer 1200 is the one. It has got a big torque from low rev, it is very easy to manouver thanks to the wide handlebars, and it doesn’t feel heavy as you’d expect a 1200cc could be. The Sprint GT it is powered by a fantastic engine as well, with lots of torque, and it has got a more sporty rather than touring riding position. If you are thinking on having a bike that still looks sporty, but that eventually you can go touring with, this is the one to choose. I must say that for a 5’8″ rider like we are, the riding position is a bit heavy on wrists and shoulders, probably more suitable for taller riders. Anyway the British Brand has shown the ability to cover all ranges of bike styles with perfection. We’ve seen in the shop most of them, going from the Classic look, to the well known Speed Triple, to Customs style, Sports Bikes, to Touring and Adventure, all beautifly designed and very well powered ..a real Triumph!
